This spicy trail mix is quick and easy to prepare, tastes delicious and gives you healthy energy. We show you with this recipe how you can easily prepare this healthy snack from fine nuts plus dried fruits and coated with a spicy curry mix.
We use cashew nuts, almonds and pecans. However, you can also prepare this healthy snack with other nuts of your choice.
Did you know that botanically cashew is not a nut? Like almonds or pistachios, the cashew belongs to the drupe family. The cashew tree, which is native to Brazil, is even said to have healing powers. These power seeds not only provide energy, but also contain many important nutrients. The healthy fatty acids they contain have a positive effect on the cardiovascular system. Cashews also contain a high proportion of the amino acid L-tryptophan. This is an important building block of the messenger substance serotonin – the so-called “happiness hormone”.
