An acidic state inhibits nerve activity and an alkaline state stimulates it. Those whose blood condition is alkaline can think and act (decide) well. On the other hand, someone whose blood condition is acidic may not think well or act quickly, clearly, or decisively. This is another reason why it is very important to maintain an alkaline blood condition at all times, not only for physical health, but also for mental presence.
Diet is of great help in maintaining the alkalinity of the blood. But this does not produce satisfactory results from one day to the next. A longer period of time is required for the effect to be noticeable. I have long searched for a quick way to convert acidic to alkaline condition. I finally found one in religious rituals. The Japanese Shinto religion strongly recommends performing the misogi ritual, which involves taking a cold bath or shower in a river, waterfall, or sea. In order to create an acid-base balance, it is advisable to alternate between hot and cold showers. Try it yourself, you will feel better, physically and mentally. In addition, a cold shower gives us tremendous willpower and high judgment.
The reason for this lies in the fact that a cold shower makes the blood alkaline, while hot showers (baths) make it acidic. It’s a good ritual. A warning is mandatory:
Never practice this misogi ritual directly without your organism getting used to this radical method slowly and gradually. Otherwise it can be dangerous for your circulation. However, after proper habituation – with the practice of letting your QI flow properly – it is highly recommended.
The Catholic and other Christian religions have the baptism ceremony, and Shinto has the misogi ceremony. By making our blood alkaline, these ceremonies are excellent methods of improving our thinking skills and mood. I recommend taking cold showers to anyone who has problems in their life, in their family, who is too stressed, or who wants to improve their judgment to get a clear picture of life and to recognize.
The cold water helps you to wake up. Warm water lets you sleep comfortably. The best time to do this is early in the morning. It is necessary to continue doing this for about ten days before there is any sign of improvement in thinking. So it is with all things that are supposed to produce good results. When you take a cold shower, you don’t start with your head. But from below the legs up – front, right shoulder, back, left side – turning clockwise – then last to the head. Those who have a weak heart should be careful and take it easy.
