Ingredients for the Breakfast Porridge with Millet
- 60 g oat flakes
- 40 g millet flakes
- 500 ml vegetable milk (coconut, rice, oat …)
- 1 pinch of sea salt
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 2 apples
- 50 g blueberries
- Cinnamon
Preparation of the Breakfast Porridge with Millet
Step 1
Wash and core the apples and cut them into small pieces. Heat 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in a small saucepan and sauté the apples in it over low heat.
Step 2
Put 500 ml of vegetable milk, 60 g of oat flakes, 40 g of millet flakes, 1 tbsp of coconut oil in a pot, or a pan.
Step 3
Add a pinch of sea salt – let everything boil for a short time – and keep stirring.et it simmer for 20 minutes. If you like it more liquid, add a little more plant milk.
Step 4
Simmer on the lowest setting for 20 minutes. If you like it more liquid, add some vegetable milk.
Step 5
Arrange the breakfast porridge on plates and garnish it with sautéed apples and fresh blueberries. Finally, sprinkle some cinnamon over the porridge before serving.
Tip:
You can also prepare the breakfast porridge with millet flakes only. Just replace the amount of oat flakes with millet flakes. If you like your porridge a little more exotic, you can also refine it with fine spices such as vanilla, cardamom, cloves or a pinch of turmeric.
