Healthy Recipes: Sweet Potato Fries

These sweet potato fries are a healthy and delicious alternative to greasy and unhealthy fast food fries. They have a subtle sweet aroma and, when prepared correctly, become crispy even in the oven.

Did you know that the sweet potato belongs to the bindweed family and is only very distantly related to the potato? It has been awarded as the most nutritious vegetable and consists of an abundance of nutrients and vital substances.

Sweet potato fries are quick to prepare and taste great.

Ingredients for the Sweet Potato Fries

  • sweet potatoes
  • sea salt
  • coconut oil

Preparation of the Sweet Potato Fries

Step 1
Peel the sweet potatoes and cut into french fries.

Step 2
Put the sweet potatoes in a large bowl and mix with coconut oil.

Step 3
Place the sweet potatoes on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake at 200 degrees convection oven for approx. 15-20 minutes. Always be careful not to burn them, as the sweet potatoes cooked faster than normal potatoes.

Step 4
After baking, sprinkle the sweet potato fries with sea salt.
