You love pizza and would like to prepare it fresh yourself? Then you will love our world’s best pizza dough. Here we show you how you can bake a healthy whole grain pizza at home. The pizza dough with whole grain flour is not only prepared in no time – no, it is also healthy, delicious and the whole family will love it. Depending on your mood, you can top it with anything your heart desires.

One reason why this pizza dough is so healthy is the whole grain dough. Because whole grain products have numerous advantages. In contrast to white flour, whole grain flour still consists of the whole grain kernel. Cereal seeds, in fact, have an inner and an outer layer. The outer is particularly rich in valuable ingredients, it also provides many B vitamins, minerals such as magnesium, iron, selenium and zinc and is full of complex carbohydrates. And while white flour is derived exclusively from the nutrient-poor endosperm, whole grain flour also contains the marginal layers and the germ of the whole grain.

If you want to eat your healthy pizza in the evening, you should prepare the pizza dough in the morning so that the yeast can still rise.

Ingredients for The World’s Best Pizza Dough

  • 500 g whole spelt flour
  • 1 packet of yeast
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 250 ml water

Preparation of The World’s Best Pizza Dough

Step 1
Put all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix them together to make a nice dough.
If the dough is too wet, add some more whole spelt flour, or if it is too dry, add some more water.

Step 2
Let the dough rise, covered (with a tea towel), in a warm place for at least 1 hour, until it has visibly increased in size. Yeast dough should not be baked immediately after preparation, but should rise sufficiently beforehand.

Step 3
Now preheat your oven to 200 degrees convection.
After the dough has risen, you can roll out the pizza by hand or with a baking roller on a large baking tray. Our recipe is sufficient for 2 large baking sheets, if you like the base of your pizza thin.

Step 4
Spread your pizza with tomato sauce without sugar – refine with sea salt, pepper, garlic and spices of your choice. We topped one side of the pizza with corn, mushrooms, spring onions, broccoli and arugula. For the other side of the pizza we chose onions, garlic and mackerel. There are no limits to your imagination when topping your pizza. Now put the pizza in the preheated oven for about 20-30 minutes.

Tip:
Add the arugula to the pizza at the very end, after taking it out of the oven. Preheat your oven properly – by heating it once to the highest temperature. Before you put the pizza in the oven, turn the temperature back to 200 degrees convection.
